The humble beginnings of Steadfast began in May of 2005 as a provider of home companion (sitter) services. A year later, in May of 2006, Steadfast applied for certification as a home health agency and was certified to participate in the Medicare program in August of 2007. After receiving its Provider Number, Steadfast went into full operation and maintained 10 patients that year. It has gradually increased its patient census through the years.
The very first office of Steadfast was located in the living room of Angeli R. Amper, RN, BSN, at 8510 Chickamauga Lane, Houston, TX, 77083, who was then the Director of Nursing. Jobert R. Macas, PT, was the Administrator. On January 1, 2008, Steadfast transferred office to 9894 Bissonnet St., Suite 605, Houston, TX 77036. On June 12, 2008, Angeli Amper became the concurrent Administrator and Director of Nursing. Jobert Macas opted to become the Alternate Administrator. By February 11, 2011, Angeli R. Amper became the Administrator while Vincent S. Texon, RN, BSN, started working as Director of Nursing. Since November 1, 2013, Steadfast has then moved to its current location at 9894 Bissonnet St., Suite 488, Houston, TX 77036. Patient referral sources come directly from medical clinics, discharge planners, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, board and care facilities, assisted living facilities, and family members.
Steadfast takes pride in the quality of care provided to its patients by its health care professionals and paraprofessionals. It also offers a 24-hour on-call nurse service that responds to any questions and assists patients and families with their needs. Additionally, it provides Skilled Nursing, Home Infusion Therapy, Home Health Aides, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Social Work Services.
